If you have been charged with impaired driving in the Red Deer or anywhere in Central Alberta, Brad Mulder is the right lawyer for you . . .
I am a lawyer practicing criminal law in Red Deer, Alberta. Red Deer is my home, and I've been practising law here since 1999. A good portion of my practice involves defending people like you who have been charged with impaired driving or some other criminal offence. I conduct trials all over central Alberta and have successfully defended many clients who have been charged with impaired driving.
I will make sure you have the best defence available, I know what it takes to win. My job is to make sure that you do not have a criminal record and do not lose your driving privileges.
Impaired Driving is a crime.
Impaired driving is a criminal offence. Not all lawyers practice criminal law, but criminal law makes up a significant portion of my practice. This gives me an advantage over lawyers who do not focus on this highly complex area of law.
Here's why that's important: Impaired driving law is made up of complex rules and procedures. I know these rules and procedures, and when I defend a client I make sure none is overlooked.
I never forget that every case is about a real person's life...
I promise to give you the best representation possible. I will do my best to ensure that you keep your driving privileges. I will find any defence available to you. If possible, I will work with the police and the prosecutor to have the charges against you dropped prior to going to trial. I will negotiate a plea to a lesser offence if it is in your best interests, and I will get you the best possible result. I will only negotiate a plea if it means you will not have a criminal record and will not lose your licence. I will work to minimize the penalty in the unlikely situation that you choose to plead guilty.
No matter how things may seem, there's always hope...
You might think you don't have a chance because you failed the breath test. That may not be the case. Just because you failed the test, that doesn't mean you will be convicted. I know how to have a breath test thrown out. Breath tests aren't perfect, and neither are the people who give them.
Breath and blood tests can produce false results.
Human error (improper procedures), a faulty breath testing machine or your own unique characteristics can affect the accuracy of a breath or blood test. Don't give up without having me review your case with you.
You can call me any time, but it's to your advantage to consult with me as early in the process as possible. The earlier you get me on your side the more likely I can help you. Criminal laws and procedures are complex. Something that seems unimportant to you may be of critical importance to your defence. Something you think is a small point may be the very thing that saves you from being convicted. Preserving evidence is imperative and time is of the essence. I can let you know what that evidence is and how to collect it. The bottom line is don't wait until it's too late.
I'll meet with you for free.
You pay absolutely nothing to pick the phone and call me so that we can discuss the basics of your case. You should make that call now. You are under no obligation. I'll give you straightforward, honest advice so you can determine your best course of action. I'll need to speak with you to assess the case against you. My fee will be based on this assessment. My reputation, experience, the complexity of the case and the amount of time it will take to conclude it all go into determining what my fee will be. I generally charge a fixed fee on impaired driving charges, so there won't be any surprises later.
